- The wrapping stone is made of 100% natural soil. Since it does not contain any harmful substances, there is no harm in touching the food. On the contrary, it adds a natural flavor to the dish as in casseroles. These clay lid covers are locally known as Dolma Tasi in Turkey. These weighted cooking press stones are generally put on the Dolma dish or stuffed grape leafs dish while it is cooking, to prevent the disintegration of the dish while it is been cooking and provide a secure way to cook. When you cook these dishes by closing the ordinary lids on the pot, the plate prevents the taste from circulating in the food homogeneously. In addition, the bubbles trapped under the plate cause overflows and distortion of the form of the meal. However, your food will be healthier and more delicious thanks to your cover lids and the holes on it. These natural lid covers can also be used to apply consistent pressure in modern cooking, such as while grilling cheese on a pan or keeping bacon strips straight on a BBQ. It will be great for grill pressing. It can also be used as a bread warmer, can be heated, and placed in a breadbasket. Or, you can set this stone on the floor of the pot and prepare a nice meal for yourself by steaming. The wrapping stone can be used in a clay pot, a steel pan, or any other type of pot.
