It can handle any drill bits with its 1/2" chuck and has a 3 5/32" spindle travel. The led worklight and laser make it easy to see the workpiece and increase accuracy. However, the instructions were difficult to follow and some parts are made of thin plastic, which could break during shipping. Rikon offers helpful and friendly customer service. The rough movement of the quill was a concern for one customer, but they are willing to receive a replacement from the company.
