Fender Straps Editorial Review
The Fender Road Worn Vintage Style Electric Guitar Tuning Machine Heads are made in Taiwan, use a vintage 3/8" diameter hole and do not fit the pickup selector switch on a stock Fender Jazzmaster. They fit well with stock American Stratocaster and 2017 MIM Deluxe Strat with Texas Special Pickups. However, they may not fit Custom Built Telecaster type guitar CTS push/pull pots. The Switch tip works fine but may not be textured as in the product photos. During installation, the string tree tends to turn, which causes the grooves to not seat the High E string firmly in place. The tuners may feel cheap initially, and some may be defective, affecting the Low E tuner. The Fender Road Worn Tuners may be made by Gotoh. The aged string tree is a little pricey but perfect for telecasters. Some buyers reported faulty or defective products while others found the upgrade from the MIC Squier Telecaster Tuners to these Fender Road Worn Tuners to make a significant difference. Overall, the Fender Road Worn Vintage Style Electric Guitar Tuning Machine Heads are a good fit for American Stratocasters and MIM Deluxe Strats but some users may experience fit issues depending on their guitar type.
