datacolor Camera & Photo S2P100 Editorial Review
**** The ColorVision Spyder2PRO is designed for both professional and enthusiast photographers seeking to achieve accurate color calibration across their displays. Users have praised its easy-to-navigate interface and the ability to handle dual monitor setups effectively. This feature is particularly beneficial for those with extensive multi-screen environments, especially on Mac systems where compatibility and functionality shine through. The device is notably adept at calibrating monitors lacking built-in hardware controls, including various Apple displays, and users appreciate its timely reminders for recalibration, ensuring Consistent display quality. However, not all experiences have been positive. A significant deterrent is its incompatibility with Windows 7 and newer versions, which has frustrated many potential users who feel misled by the product descriptions. This limitation renders the device less viable for a substantial portion of the market. Furthermore, some customers have encountered issues with incomplete software offerings upon purchase, leading to additional costs to obtain necessary components like the PrintFix PRO suite. Despite mixed feedback on its effectiveness—where some users reported satisfaction with their calibration results, others claimed they achieved better outcomes without it—the Consensus suggests that the Spyder2PRO can simplify a complex calibration process when properly understood and utilized. Therefore, a solid grasp of color management principles is encouraged before attempting to calibrate. Overall, the ColorVision Spyder2PRO can be a valuable tool for those who need precision in their digital color workflows, provided they meet the compatibility requirements and have a foundational understanding of color calibration principles. **
