The Epoxybond Pool Putty 2-Part Set from Atlas Minerals is a swimming pool and spa repair kit that is easy to use and can fix cracks and leaks above or underwater on a variety of surfaces, including concrete and fiberglass. According to a verified customer, the putty works well to adhere plastic fittings into Pebble Tec finishes. The putty hardens like a rock and can be a challenge to remove, requiring sanding and perhaps hammering or chiseling. While it could work as a temporary repair for tile grout, using conventional grout is a better long-term solution. It is best to avoid using this product on vinyl pools, as it is more effective on hard, non-flexible surfaces such as wood, concrete, fiberglass, and metal. The single-stick version comes in two different sizes, 2 oz and 4 oz, while the 2-stick version is 14 oz, though they are used for the same repairs and applications. It is possible to paint the putty any color desired after it has hardened. The product may be useful for fiberglass hot tub shells, but not for patches on vinyl pools. Oil-based or epoxy-compatible pigments can be used to add color.
